Far A Field

At the end of a private dirt track nestled deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside you'll find Far a field horse box and bath house. A tiny home set in its own field with views to the river, a place of natural beauty steeped deep in mythology. 10mins from the end of the M4 its' location is convenient and gives scope for easily exploring this wild and wonderful slice of West Wales.

The Space

Beautifully converted horse box in its own field opposite the river with private access. One cosy small double above the cab, two singles that double as daybeds and relaxation space with angle-poise lamps for reading (loads of nature books on hand ) and (gas) wood burner style stove. Small fridge and standard kitchen equipment. Large wooden deck for alfresco dining/lounging and bespoke bath house trailer with rainfall shower, luxury outdoor nickel bath tub and compost toilet. A Firepit, BBQ and lot's of little luxuries that make this the perfect retreat space.

Bathing

There is something special about bathing in a piping hot outdoor bath especially in the rain. All water including drinking water is from a natural spring. We offer seasonal bathing rituals which can be booked in advance of your stay. We draw your bath at time of your choice using a special blend of of salts, minerals and herbals alongside a curated soundtrack and incense recomended bathing of 60minutes.

Sauna

Why not add a sauna session or session to your stay, with views across the valley our finish steam sauna sits in a great position for sunrise. We offer guided and unguided sauna sessions using ice bath dip for the ultimate reset.

The Locality

Situated in the Twyi Valley close to the river the location is a great jumping off point to explore forests, mountains and beaches.

Llandeilo a small market town with antiques shops, boutiques, local crafts, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers. They also have the first ever TOAST shop as that is where it was founded, climb up the hill to the Dinefwr castle and for spectacular views of the castle.

Food & Drink

Our favourite spots are Polyn for dinner/suppers Wrights Food Emporium a must visit even if just to pick up supplies their Cubano is the stuff of legends. Pitchfork & Provision Coffee & Brunch The Warren & Inn at the Sticks for Sunday Lunch.

Walks, Hikes and Bikes

There are so many good treks it’s hard to know where to start local landmarks Paxton Tower and Dryslwyn castle are worth a look. Brecfa Forest has some of the best mountain biking in Wales and beautiful woodland walks. Llansteffan estuary (20mins by car) for sweeping beach and castle walk. For a longer hike head up to the epic llyn fan fach for one of the best walks in the Brecon Beacons (40mins by car) and if your feeling brave take a dip in the lake.

Further a field (Within 35mins)

Amroth Beach is a favourite and at it’s far end Telpyn Beach which is a bit of a local secret for it’s waterfall. Narbeth is filled with antiques, boutiques and a lunch in Spanish Deli Ultracomdia or a special treat book Anwen. Also Dyan Thomas Boat House Laugharne for the full under milk wood vibe Dexters at Browns is good for steak.
